System Administrator

The Opportunity

As a System Administrator, you'll be at the heart of our Information Technology operations in Athens. You'll manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the server infrastructure, networks, and systems that enable Delivery Hero to deliver seamlessly to customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure maximum uptime across production and non-production environments
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and system software
• Manage user access, permissions, and authentication systems; provide technical support to end users
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect critical data
• Apply security patches and perform regular system updates whilst minimising disruption
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, hardware failures, and network connectivity problems
• Document system configurations, procedures, and operational runbooks
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployment and infrastructure improvements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar infrastructure operations role
• Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Linux and/or Windows) and system administration best practices
• Experience with virtualisation technologies, cloud platforms, and containerisation is beneficial
• Solid understanding of networking, storage systems, and security principles
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to emergencies
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Relevant IT qualifications (CCNA, CompTIA Security+, LPIC, or similar) are advantageous
