The Opportunity

This part-time faculty position offers the chance to develop and deliver engaging graphic design instruction at a community college level. You'll work with students across various skill levels, helping them master essential design principles and contemporary tools while building the foundation for careers in creative fields.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach graphic design courses and workshops aligned with program curriculum standards
• Develop and refine course materials, assignments, and assessments that meet learning outcomes
• Provide constructive feedback and grading on student work, fostering continuous improvement
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, design practices, and emerging technologies
• Hold office hours and provide academic support to help students succeed
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and program initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated expertise in graphic design, evidenced by a strong portfolio
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Experience teaching or a demonstrated ability to communicate design concepts effectively
• Proficiency with industry-standard design software and tools
• Knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout
• Commitment to student success and inclusive teaching practices
