Public Affairs Lead, Southern East Europe (They/She/He)

Delivery Hero seeks a Public Affairs Lead for Southern East Europe, based in Bucharest, RO, to drive strategic government relations and policy advocacy across the region. This is a full-time remote position.

Role Overview

As Public Affairs Lead for Southern East Europe at Delivery Hero, you will shape our policy engagement and government relations strategy across the region. You'll represent Delivery Hero's interests to regulatory bodies, policymakers, and key stakeholders, navigating the complex landscape of Southern East European markets. Your work will ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate policy risk, and create opportunities for business growth across the territories you serve.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute government relations and public affairs strategies for the Southern East Europe region
• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, regulators, industry associations, and policy influencers
• Monitor regulatory developments and legislative changes impacting food delivery and logistics sectors
• Lead advocacy initiatives on behalf of Delivery Hero with policymakers and regulatory agencies
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts between Delivery Hero's legal, communications, and business teams
• Prepare policy briefings, position papers, and regulatory submissions
• Represent Delivery Hero at industry forums, trade associations, and stakeholder meetings

Qualifications

• Proven experience in government relations, public affairs, or policy advocacy roles
• Deep knowledge of the Southern East European regulatory environment and political landscape
• Strong understanding of food delivery, transportation, or logistics regulation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills in English; regional language proficiency a strong advantage
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively across geographic and functional boundaries
• Experience building consensus among diverse stakeholders with competing interests
