Temporary – Preschool Classroom Aide

MC is hiring a full-time Temporary Preschool Classroom Aide to support our early learning programs in Montgomery County, Maryland. This is a hands-on position where you'll help create a nurturing, engaging environment for young learners.

About the Role

As a Preschool Classroom Aide at MC in Montgomery County, you'll play an essential role in supporting our preschool teachers and students. This full-time temporary position is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood development and looking to make a direct impact on young children's learning and growth. You'll work in a collaborative classroom setting, assisting with daily activities, transitions, and care routines that help preschoolers thrive.

What You'll Do

• Assist preschool teachers with classroom setup, activities, and instruction
• Support student transitions between activities and throughout the daily schedule
• Help supervise and monitor children's safety during classroom time and outdoor play
• Assist with basic hygiene routines, including meal preparation and cleanup support
• Help implement behavior guidance strategies in a positive, developmentally appropriate manner
• Support the development of fine and gross motor skills through play-based activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
• Communicate with teachers, parents, and families about student progress and activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to pass a background check and meet MC hiring requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, compassion, and genuine interest in working with young children
• Ability to follow classroom routines and teacher direction
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and move throughout the day while working with children
• Flexibility and reliability in a fast-paced educational environment
• CPR or First Aid certification preferred
