Role Overview

As a Career Coach at Arizona State University, you'll deliver individualized guidance to help students explore career paths, develop professional competencies, and successfully navigate job search processes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one career coaching sessions to help students define goals and create actionable career plans
• Prepare students for employment through resume review, cover letter guidance, and interview coaching
• Lead group workshops on job searching, professional networking, and workplace readiness
• Build connections between students and employers, internship coordinators, and industry partners
• Document student progress and measure career outcomes across cohorts
• Partner with academic programs and campus departments to align career support with curricular goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Three (3) years of professional experience in career services, student support, recruitment, or human resources
• Excellent communication and active listening abilities with capacity to work effectively with varied student backgrounds
• Understanding of career development theory and current employment market dynamics
• Ability to handle sensitive information professionally and maintain student confidentiality
• Competency with standard office technology and openness to learning specialized career coaching platforms
