HGV Class 1 Driver

Culina Group is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our transport and distribution team in Bristol, England. This is a full-time opportunity to deliver quality service across our logistics network.

About This Position

We're looking for a professional HGV Class 1 Driver with a strong track record in the transport and distribution sector. This role offers the chance to work with an established company in Bristol, operating modern vehicles across varied routes. You'll take on responsibility for delivering goods safely and on time whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and vehicle care.

Your Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently across assigned delivery routes
• Plan and execute journeys whilst adhering to all legal driving hours regulations and road safety rules
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Load and secure cargo appropriately, ensuring compliance with weight limits and safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of journeys, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers throughout each delivery
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Current HGV Class 1 licence (or equivalent professional driving qualification)
• Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) or commitment to obtain one
• Minimum 1–2 years of professional HGV driving experience
• Clean driving record and ability to pass Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks
• Tachograph card and related digital knowledge
• Strong health and safety awareness and commitment to compliance
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
