Multimedia Designer / Learning Experience (Remote – Costa Rica Only)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization in their search for a Multimedia Designer / Learning Experience professional based remotely in Costa Rica. This role sits within a customer education team responsible for developing learning experiences that help users build capability and confidence with enterprise software products.

As part of a 13-person education team, you will create multimedia assets that transform complex technical concepts into engaging visual learning experiences. This position focuses exclusively on educational content—not marketing materials—and requires balancing strong design skills with an understanding of how multimedia supports learning outcomes and knowledge retention.

Responsibilities

• Create multimedia assets for learning experiences including product demonstration videos, animations, motion graphics, visual aids, presentations, GIFs, and reusable templates
• Partner with instructional designers to translate learning objectives, scripts, and technical concepts into effective visual learning experiences
• Apply visual design principles and adult learning concepts to improve clarity, engagement, and knowledge retention
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and workflows to accelerate content production, prototyping, and multimedia development while maintaining quality standards
• Produce and edit video-based learning content including screen recordings, annotations, captions, voiceovers, and motion graphics
• Develop reusable visual systems, templates, and standards that improve consistency across learning platforms and community experiences
• Support visual branding and user experience within learning management systems
• Perform quality reviews to ensure multimedia assets meet standards for accessibility, usability, accuracy, and learner experience

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

• Experience creating multimedia, visual, video, or motion design assets for learning, education, enablement, or software-based environments
• Advanced proficiency with Figma and experience creating scalable design systems and visual assets
• Experience using AI-enabled creative workflows to improve design, multimedia production, prototyping, or content creation processes
• Strong understanding of visual design principles including typography, hierarchy, layout, composition, and user experience
• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear visuals that support learner understanding and reduce cognitive load
• Experience collaborating with subject matter experts, instructional designers, or cross-functional stakeholders to deliver multimedia projects
• Strong communication, presentation, and feedback-integration skills with the ability to explain design decisions and iterate effectively
• Experience with tools such as Camtasia, Vyond, Articulate Storyline/Rise, ElevenLabs, or similar multimedia and learning technologies

Pay

The estimated annual base salary range for this role is ₡14,360,800 - ₡18,846,200 CRC. Compensation may also include bonuses for eligible roles and a comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications and market factors assessed during the interview process.
