We are representing a confidential global education organization seeking a Course Writer and Editor specializing in UX, UI, and AI content. This is a remote role for candidates located between UTC+0 and UTC+4 time zones.

Our client works with respected industry leaders to create educational content for hundreds of thousands of learners worldwide. As a Course Writer and Editor, you'll shape how courses and master classes read and flow, from hooks and headings to quiz questions and video scripts.

Responsibilities

• Own the editorial voice across all published educational content, including course scripts, hooks, headings, on-screen text, and quiz wording
• Collaborate with education designers, course directors, video teams, and subject matter experts to refine draft content into polished, learner-focused material
• Write for a diverse global audience that includes experienced designers, career changers, and non-native English speakers—balancing accessibility with depth
• Transform expert transcripts and raw material into structured lessons that teach effectively
• Create assessment questions that test understanding rather than recognition, ensuring each question teaches as it evaluates
• Provide editorial feedback on video content, including on-screen text, graphics, and b-roll selections
• Review learner completion data and feedback to identify opportunities for content improvement, then implement incremental edits
• Maintain clear, organized documentation so internal teams can find and use knowledge resources efficiently
• Write and edit articles, course descriptions, supporting materials, and marketing copy as needed
• Participate in all stages of content creation, including strategic decisions about structure and approach

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

• At least 4 years of professional writing or editing experience, with portfolio work demonstrating quality over quantity (courses, article series, scripts, documentation, or newsletters)
• Exceptional command of written and spoken English, with precise grammar and understanding of tone, brevity, and microcopy
• Proven ability to take complex ideas and make them accessible to beginners without oversimplifying
• Strong skills in creating engaging hooks, titles, and opening lines that draw readers in authentically
• Active collaboration with AI tools to enhance writing, research, and content creation while maintaining human leadership and ownership
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to create clear, efficient structures for processes and tasks
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently within documented systems
• Genuine curiosity about UX, UI design, and how AI is transforming design work and education
• Social intelligence and empathy to engage effectively with diverse teams and subject matter experts
• Comfort moving between ad hoc projects and consistent, repetitive work while maintaining quality
• Proactive problem-solving approach—spotting issues early and proposing solutions
• Located in time zones between UTC+0 (London) and UTC+4 (Dubai)

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience teaching in classrooms, workshops, or creating educational materials
• Active blog or social media presence where you share original content
• Collaboration experience with video production teams
• Experience writing quiz or assessment questions
• Familiarity with learning management systems or online learning platforms
• Bachelor's or master's degree in communications, journalism, literature, or related field
