Responsibilities
We are representing a global production organization seeking an Account Director to lead end-to-end project delivery and client relationships in London. You will be the primary point of contact for assigned projects, accountable for on-time, on-spec, and on-budget delivery across diverse content production initiatives.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing client relationships with a focus on flawless execution and maintaining confidence in delivery capabilities
- Overseeing medium to complex projects from initiation through completion, ensuring smooth delivery and swift resolution of issues
- Structuring regular client communications, defining scope and approach, setting expectations, and troubleshooting as needed
- Partnering with production, finance, and creative teams to ensure proper resource allocation and superior results
- Managing project budgets, tracking costs throughout the lifecycle, reconciling estimates to actuals, and protecting margins
- Owning purchase orders, financial reporting, billing against budgets, and development of statements of work
- Keeping projects on track through clear status updates, task lists, timing schedules, risk registers, and trackers
- Identifying workflow improvements, potential risks, and proactively seeking new revenue opportunities
- Leading and developing diverse teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
What We're Looking For
Our client needs someone with proven project and client management experience in an agency or integrated production environment, with strong understanding of marketing and content production across digital, video, social, and other key channels.
Required skills and experience:
- Solid background in production and creative development processes, including content production, technology, and quality assurance
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-component projects on time and on budget
- Track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Commercial acumen with proven ability to build scopes, create budgets, and track profitability
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to find solutions that work for all stakeholders
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presenting to clients and thinking on your feet
- Professional, calm, approachable demeanor with ability to thrive in a dynamic, matrixed environment
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and cross-functional relationships simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, wireframing tools, and project management platforms such as JIRA, Smartsheet, Trello, or Miro
- Experience working with offshore teams is a plus
