LPN/RN Pediatric Home Health Nurse

Phoenix Home Care and Hospice is seeking a compassionate LPN/RN Pediatric Home Health Nurse to join our team in Wichita, Kansas. In this full-time position, you'll provide essential skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes, combining clinical expertise with the comfort and dignity of care delivered in a familiar setting.

Position Summary

As an LPN/RN Pediatric Home Health Nurse with Phoenix Home Care and Hospice in Wichita, Kansas, you will deliver skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in their home settings. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about working with children and families, providing personalized care that supports healing and improves quality of life outside the hospital environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assess pediatric patients' medical conditions and vital signs during home visits
• Administer medications and manage medication schedules according to physician orders
• Perform wound care and manage medical equipment or devices in the home environment
• Monitor patient progress and maintain detailed, accurate clinical documentation
• Coordinate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate families on patient care procedures and health management strategies
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the care process

What We're Looking For

• Valid LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) licensure in Kansas
• Experience or demonstrated interest in pediatric nursing care
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits throughout the Wichita area
