Position Summary

In this Lead IT Operations Engineer (gn) position at Bikeleasing you will direct day-to-day and longer-term IT operations while working remotely with a focus on the Uslar base. You will set clear priorities for infrastructure health, guide a capable operations group, and ensure services remain available and well documented under changing demand.

Core Duties

• Direct the IT operations workload, aligning team effort with service stability and business priorities
• Uphold availability of servers, networks, platforms, and related systems through monitoring and preventative action
• Lead incident response, thorough root-cause analysis, and lasting corrective measures
• Introduce practical automation and refine operational procedures to reduce repetitive effort
• Coordinate with colleagues on planned changes, capacity planning, and controlled rollouts
• Coach and mentor operations staff while promoting shared standards and knowledge transfer
• Keep runbooks, operational documentation, and recovery readiness current and usable

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated background leading or acting as a senior engineer within IT operations for production environments
• Solid command of server platforms, networking principles, and hybrid or cloud infrastructure patterns
• Practical experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability approaches suited to live systems
• Proven ability to apply scripting or automation to reliable, repeatable operational work
• Working knowledge of IT service management disciplines covering incidents, problems, and changes
• Clear communication and stakeholder skills appropriate for a remote lead role
• Sound judgment when prioritising under pressure without losing focus on service quality
