Operations Data Analyst – Specialist

Delivery Hero is recruiting an Operations Data Analyst - Specialist for our Barcelona office. This full-time role combines strategic data analysis with operational problem-solving, where you'll transform logistics and delivery data into actionable insights that optimise our network.

About the Role

You'll join our Strategy and Planning function as a specialist-level analyst, working at the intersection of operations and data intelligence. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of key analytical initiatives, leading investigations into operational performance and providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Collaborating across cross-functional teams, you'll translate complex business questions into data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction across our delivery ecosystem.

What You'll Do

• Analyse operational data from our delivery platform to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement
• Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and monitoring systems for key operational metrics
• Develop statistical models and forecasting tools to optimise resource allocation and predict demand
• Support strategic initiatives by conducting in-depth investigations into logistics and delivery operations
• Collaborate with product, operations, finance, and other teams to define analytical requirements and deliver insights
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels
• Continually refine data processes, methodologies, and analytical frameworks

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in operations analysis, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation, analysis, and modelling
• Proven expertise with data visualisation platforms and business intelligence tools
• Solid understanding of logistics, supply chain, delivery operations, or similar domains
• Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills, with ability to handle and analyse large datasets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas clearly
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics) or equivalent professional experience
