RACOM | Network Operations Center Manager

Join Eastern Communications as a Network Operations Center Manager in Marshalltown, IA, where you'll lead the team responsible for maintaining Land Mobile Radio systems that keep first responders, utilities, and transportation networks connected. This is a full-time position supporting critical infrastructure communication.

Position Summary

The Network Operations Center Manager oversees daily operations of LMR communication systems serving first responders and essential infrastructure. In this leadership role, you'll manage your NOC team, step in as an operator when needed, and ensure 24/7 system reliability. You'll coordinate with internal teams, customers, and external partners to maintain the uninterrupted communications that emergency services and critical facilities depend on every day.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the NOC team to ensure consistent, high-quality customer service
• Operate NOC systems and respond to alerts when operational coverage requires it
• Monitor Land Mobile Radio networks and respond to performance issues
• Provide technical support to customers and troubleshoot system problems
• Communicate with field technicians, dispatch centers, and third-party vendors
• Maintain detailed logs and documentation of network activity and incidents
• Work flexible hours including nights and weekends to support round-the-clock operations

Requirements

• Prior experience managing a Network Operations Center or working as an NOC operator (preferred)
• Knowledge of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems and telecommunications networks
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure
• Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and flexible scheduling
• Leadership experience managing small teams (preferred)
