RN (Registered Nurse) Pediatric Home Care Day Shift

Phoenix Home Care and Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our pediatric home care team in Winfield, Missouri. As a day-shift RN, you'll deliver high-quality clinical care to children in their home environments, building meaningful relationships with families while ensuring optimal health outcomes.

What This Role Involves

This full-time position focuses on providing direct nursing care to pediatric patients requiring home-based medical services. You'll be a trusted member of the care team, combining clinical expertise with empathy to support both children and their families through treatment plans and daily health management. Your work will span direct patient care, family education, and coordination with physicians and specialists to ensure continuity of care.

Core Duties

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, health history, and current clinical status
• Administer medications, perform wound care, and manage medical equipment according to physician orders
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized care plans based on patient needs and family goals
• Educate families on medication administration, equipment operation, and recognition of warning signs
• Maintain accurate, detailed clinical documentation and nursing notes in the patient record
• Communicate regularly with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate services
• Provide supportive presence and emotional support to children and families during treatment

Requirements

• Active Missouri RN license (or valid reciprocal license with ability to obtain Missouri licensure)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in pediatric or acute care nursing preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
• Physical capability to perform nursing duties and assist patients safely
