What This Role Involves

Working 36 hours per week on a night shift schedule, you'll gain exposure to cutting-edge cardiology practice while supporting physicians and the entire cath lab team during high-acuity patient procedures.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain cardiac catheterization equipment and supplies for diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Monitor patients throughout catheterization procedures, assessing vital signs and clinical status in real-time
- Assist physicians with catheter placement, imaging guidance, and therapeutic interventions
- Manage patient care before, during, and after procedures, including pre-procedure education and post-procedure monitoring
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards in the catheterization laboratory
- Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless procedural execution
- Document nursing care and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
- Support emergency response protocols when time-sensitive interventions are required
What You Bring
- Current RN licensure in Indiana or valid compact nursing license
- Demonstrated experience in cardiac catheterization or similar acute-care nursing environments
- Proficiency with telemetry monitoring, hemodynamic assessment, and IV therapy
- Ability to remain calm and focused during high-pressure procedures and emergency situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Willingness to adapt to travel nursing assignments and work flexible, night-shift schedules
- BLS certification and additional cardiac certifications (ACLS, TNCC, or equivalent) preferred
