QC Laboratory Analyst I

Threshold Enterprises is seeking a full-time QC Laboratory Analyst I to join our quality control team in Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz County. This is an entry-level laboratory position ideal for candidates eager to launch a career in quality assurance and materials testing within a professional laboratory environment.

About the Role

As a QC Laboratory Analyst I, you'll work directly with laboratory equipment and analytical procedures to ensure product quality and compliance. This trainee position provides hands-on experience in all phases of laboratory operations, from receiving raw materials through final product inspection. You'll develop core competencies in materials testing, data collection, and quality documentation while supporting the broader quality assurance mission of the organization.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate, inspect, and test raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods using standard laboratory equipment and established testing procedures
• Conduct materials analysis and quality assessments according to documented lab protocols
• Assist with implementation and validation of new laboratory methods and testing procedures
• Perform routine laboratory testing tasks and maintain accurate test records and reports
• Support interdepartmental quality functions and collaborate with other teams as needed
• Maintain laboratory equipment, follow safety protocols, and ensure compliance with quality standards

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (or current pursuit of associate degree in chemistry, biology, or laboratory science)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures precisely
• Comfort with laboratory equipment, basic analytical instruments, and data recording systems
• Solid communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in quality control and materials testing
• Ability to work on-site in Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz County
