In this position you will support individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities as they pursue personal goals and manage daily life within a community‑based group home setting. The role is part‑time and focuses on delivering person‑centered assistance that promotes independence, safety, and well‑being.
What You'll Do
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as grooming, dressing, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Implement individualized support plans and help clients achieve their short‑ and long‑term objectives.
- Foster skill‑building opportunities that encourage community integration and social engagement.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment by following health and safety protocols.
- Document observations, progress, and incidents accurately in accordance with agency policies.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors, teammates, and family members to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay current on best practices and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred).
- Ability to pass a background check and any required health screenings.
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible part‑time shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to upholding the dignity and rights of the individuals we serve.
