As a DSP with Easterseals PORT, you'll be at the heart of our mission to empower people with disabilities and build stronger communities. Working in part-time afternoon and after-school shifts, you'll provide direct support that helps individuals develop independence, pursue their personal goals, and participate more fully in daily activities. Your presence and care create stability in people's lives while contributing to their growth and well-being.

What You'll Do

• Assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with daily living activities and skill-building
• Support personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and community participation as needed
• Help individuals work toward personal goals and develop greater independence
• Maintain safe, respectful, and person-centered interactions at all times
• Communicate with supervisors and team members about individual progress and any concerns
• Document support provided and observe changes in health, behavior, or needs
• Follow all agency policies, protocols, and health and safety procedures

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work reliably during afternoon and after-school hours
• Genuine compassion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical capability to provide hands-on support and assistance
• Willingness to complete required training and background checks
• Valid driver's license preferred
