About the Role

Our Adult Crisis Therapeutic Home serves individuals living with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and mental health conditions. As a Behavioral Technician II, you'll be a key part of a therapeutic team dedicated to stability, growth, and community inclusion. This is a hands-on position where you'll work closely with guests on a daily basis, implementing evidence-based support strategies and fostering positive behavioral change. You'll also have access to QMHP-T supervision, providing valuable professional development and guidance as you advance your career in behavioral health.

What You'll Do

• Deliver direct behavioral support and crisis intervention in a home-based therapeutic environment
• Collaborate with clinical staff to implement individualized treatment and support plans
• Observe, document, and report on behavioral patterns and progress toward treatment goals
• Build therapeutic relationships with guests through consistent, compassionate engagement
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing program planning and improvement
• Maintain detailed, accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and behavioral observations
• Support guests in developing life skills and working toward independence goals

What We're Looking For

• Certification or eligibility for QMHP-T status in Virginia
• Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual, developmental, or behavioral health disabilities
• Strong crisis de-escalation and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations
• Commitment to person-centered, trauma-informed care practices
• Reliable transportation to our Montclair location
• Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation as needed
