About the Role

As an Overnight Youth Housing Support Staff member—also known as a Residential Youth Counselor at Cocoon House—you'll be the trusted presence during evening and overnight hours for teenagers and young adults staying in our residential facilities. This part-time overnight position puts you at the heart of our mission: breaking the cycle of youth homelessness in Snohomish County through direct care, stability, and human connection.

What You'll Do

• Provide supervision and support for youth residents during overnight shifts in a safe, structured residential environment
• Build trusting relationships with young people experiencing housing instability
• Monitor resident safety and wellbeing, responding to needs and concerns
• Support daily living skills and encourage positive peer dynamics
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate with day-shift staff and case managers
• Model stability and respect, creating a welcoming atmosphere for teens in our care
• Assist with activities and routines that promote structure and dignity
