Product Owner (m/f/d) – Medical AI

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential MedTech organization seeking a Product Owner for an AI-based medical device. In this role, you will own the product lifecycle from feature scoping through implementation, launch, and international roll-out. You will serve as the central point of coordination between medical, regulatory, and AI engineering teams.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Translating medical and business requirements into clear technical specifications and a prioritized product backlog, incorporating input from users, markets, and internal stakeholders
• Supporting the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) process by providing technical and product input for regulatory decisions on intended use, risk assessment, and output presentation
• Owning the software requirements specification (SRS) and collaborating closely with AI engineers to specify and integrate the MDR-certified AI system into the product
• Working with cross-functional teams to deploy the device across multiple international markets, adapting to local regulatory and technical requirements
• Managing end-to-end product delivery from concept through market launch

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings a technical foundation and the ability to bridge multiple disciplines:

• Technical background or hands-on experience with software/API specifications, with the ability to move fluidly between technical AI/engineering details and regulatory, medical, and business perspectives
• Relevant experience in product management or a comparable role, ideally with exposure to AI products, regulated environments (e.g., MDR), or product internationalization
• Proven ability to take ownership and work in a structured way, while maintaining the pragmatism needed in a startup environment
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate across medical, regulatory, and technical teams
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus but not required)
• Self-starter mentality with the drive to push initiatives forward independently
