People Practices Advisor

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential construction organization in their search for a People Practices Advisor. This role serves as a local representative of the People Practices function, supporting the complete employee and candidate lifecycle within business units and project sites. You'll be the first point of contact for employees, coordinating onboarding processes, cultural initiatives, and engagement activities while ensuring consistent application of HR policies and programs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to deliver employee and candidate lifecycle programs and services
• Serve as first point of contact for employees and coaches, providing guidance on People Practices resources and escalating complex matters appropriately
• Interpret and apply company policies, processes, and procedures to ensure consistent support at the local level
• Coordinate implementation of enterprise onboarding processes, including facilitation of 30/60/90-day check-ins with new employees
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and People Operations to execute local services including training logistics, new hire orientation, and programming
• Organize and manage events and meaningful connection points to support engagement, inclusion, safety awareness, and cultural alignment
• Support tactical employee lifecycle activities including interview coordination and off-boarding processes such as asset retrieval and system updates

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, psychology, or related field
• 2-4 years of experience in human resources, operations support, employee engagement, or related field
• Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Construction industry experience
• Human resources certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent
