Part Time Caregiver/Companion

Phoenix Home Care and Hospice is hiring for a full-time Caregiver/Companion position in Mexico, Missouri, United States. This role offers an opportunity to provide compassionate, dignified care and genuine companionship to clients in their homes.

What This Role Involves

As a Caregiver/Companion with Phoenix Home Care and Hospice, you'll be a trusted, reliable presence in clients' daily lives. Working in Mexico, Missouri and surrounding areas, you'll support clients in maintaining their independence, comfort, and quality of life through hands-on assistance and meaningful personal connection delivered within their own homes.

Core Duties

• Assist with personal care activities including grooming, bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Provide medication reminders and basic health monitoring as directed by care plans
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and shopping errands
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and attentive conversation
• Assist with safe mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Maintain accurate records and communicate updates to the care team and family members
• Respond promptly to client needs and maintain a safe, clean home environment

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Physical capability to assist with personal care and mobility tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion, empathy, and genuine commitment to client wellbeing
• Ability to work independently and adhere to individualized care plans
• Passing background check
• High school diploma or GED preferred
