Insurance Claims Handler

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential proptech client seeking an Insurance Claims Handler to join their Lincoln office. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement: 3 days per week in the Lincoln city centre office and 2 days working remotely.

As an Insurance Claims Handler, you'll own the entire claims lifecycle from initial submission through to final resolution. You'll be the primary point of contact for customers, investigating cases, reviewing evidence, and making informed decisions that lead to fair outcomes. This position requires someone who can balance process accuracy with exceptional customer service while managing a diverse caseload independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage claims from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and maintaining high customer experience standards throughout the process
• Serve as the main contact point for customers, clearly communicating outcomes and keeping all parties informed during each stage
• Investigate claims thoroughly, review supporting evidence, and make sound decisions on insurance-related matters
• Develop practical solutions including overseeing repayment arrangements and progressing complex cases to resolution
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve queries, address challenges, and maintain claims momentum
• Manage your own caseload effectively while meeting service level expectations

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Proven experience in a customer-focused, process-driven environment where customer experience is paramount
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly, both verbally and in writing
• Strong organisational capabilities with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Positive, practical approach with ability to remain calm and proactive in fast-paced situations
• Strong IT proficiency and confidence using multiple software platforms, ideally including Salesforce and Microsoft applications

Desirable but not essential:

• Previous experience in the lettings industry or insurance sector
