Finance Business Partner – Germany

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fundraising organization operating across Europe. Our client launched their German operations in mid-2025 and is experiencing rapid growth with ambitious expansion goals. They are building a high-performing finance team in Munich to support their scaling operations.

We are seeking a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join their German team. This role goes beyond traditional reporting—you'll influence strategic decisions, challenge assumptions, build robust financial models, and ensure smart investment choices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, forecasting, and long-range financial planning for German business operations
• Produce monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and actionable insights for senior leadership
• Build and maintain financial models to support commercial decisions, investment cases, and strategic initiatives
• Partner with leaders across Property, Marketing, Operations, Product, Customer Experience, and Commercial teams to understand performance drivers and identify opportunities
• Analyze sales, customer, marketing, and operational metrics to improve forecasting accuracy and business performance
• Support month-end close processes by partnering with Accounting to ensure accurate reporting
• Prepare board, leadership, and investor-quality presentations and reporting packs
• Drive continuous improvements to FP&A processes, reporting automation, and planning tools
• Support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and business case development for new initiatives
• Help establish scalable finance processes as the business continues to grow

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Finance, or Strategic Finance
• Strong financial modeling and forecasting experience
• Advanced Excel skills and proven AI-forward mindset
• Experience with planning or BI tools such as Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Power BI, Tableau, or similar (preferable)
• Proven track record partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing commercial decisions
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confidence presenting financial information in a clear and engaging way
• Proactive mindset with passion for improving processes and driving efficiency
• Experience working within an international or multi-entity business (advantageous)
• Professional accounting qualification (HGB) or equivalent FP&A/Commercial Finance experience (desirable)
• Business fluent German and English required
• Naturally curious with ability to uncover insights from data
• Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments where priorities evolve

Location: Munich, Germany
Work arrangement: 3 days in office, 2 days remote each week
Contract type: Permanent, full-time
