About This Opportunity
We are representing a well-funded healthcare technology organization in Berlin that is searching for a Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and commercial operations—building solutions that directly unblock customers and accelerate business growth.
This isn't traditional product engineering. You'll work alongside commercial teams and end users to identify workflow bottlenecks, then build pragmatic, high-quality software end to end: AI-powered automations, internal tools, customer-specific integrations, data migrations, and dashboards that eliminate manual work from onboarding and customer success.
Your technical home is Engineering—quality, maintainability, security, and ownership matter deeply. Your business accountability sits close to Commercial—your success is measured by how much you unblock customers and reduce friction.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with commercial, product, and engineering teams to identify high-impact customer and workflow problems
- Build end-to-end solutions using TypeScript, React, AWS, and modern AI/LLM tooling
- Own problems from discovery to production: clarify requirements, design solutions, implement, ship, monitor, and iterate
- Join customer conversations to understand workflows, validate assumptions, and translate real-world complexity into technical solutions
- Operate in ambiguous environments where specs are incomplete and priorities shift quickly
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure solutions meet standards for reliability, security, observability, and maintainability
What We're Looking For
- Several years of experience as a software engineer, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment where you've owned solutions end to end
- Strong experience with TypeScript and React, comfortable working across the stack including APIs and cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS)
- Hands-on experience building AI/LLM-based workflows and enthusiasm for applying them to solve practical business problems
- Strong curiosity about customer workflows and the ability to quickly understand operational complexity, even with ambiguity
- Pragmatism and product judgment: knowing when to build robustly, when to automate, when to simplify, and how to prioritize by business impact
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fluency in German and English
