Performance Marketer

About the Role

We are representing a confidential AI software company in their search for a Performance Marketer based in London. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role for a senior paid marketing professional who thrives on building automated systems and staying deep in the data.

You'll own paid search and social campaigns across Google, Meta, Microsoft, and emerging AI advertising channels. The expectation is that you'll build intelligent automations and agents that monitor performance, adjust budgets, flag issues, and optimize campaigns—creating a marketing engine that largely runs itself while you provide strategic direction.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end management of paid search and paid social channels including Google, Microsoft, Meta, and emerging platforms
• Build automations and intelligent agents that read campaign performance, pace budgets, catch issues proactively, and execute optimizations
• Scale paid social through creative diversification, maintaining a steady pipeline of varied assets and knowing which creative to amplify
• Extend into programmatic advertising using DSPs (DV360, Criteo, or The Trade Desk) for prospecting, retargeting, and new inventory while maintaining efficiency standards
• Build and maintain tracking infrastructure including server-side tracking, CAPI, pixels, consent management, and deduplication
• Write queries and analyses that measure incrementality rather than relying solely on platform-reported attribution
• Run continuous tests on audiences, bidding strategies, and creative to improve performance
• Deliver technical work yourself rather than delegating to data or engineering teams

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years running paid search and paid social with significant budget ownership across Google and Meta
• Experience with Microsoft Ads and at least one DSP (DV360, Criteo, or The Trade Desk)
• Proven track record building automations for reporting, budget pacing, or campaign optimization
• Comfort working with platform APIs and pulling your own data
• Experience scaling a paid social channel from small to large while maintaining efficiency
• Strong understanding of CAC, payback periods, and distinguishing efficient growth from vanity metrics
• Hands-on mentality—you prefer working in accounts and building systems over creating presentations
• Active use of AI tools and experience building agents to solve marketing challenges
• Deep technical expertise in at least one area: data analytics, data engineering, or tracking and measurement, with comfort across all three
• Ability to build and debug tracking systems independently
• Preference for detail work and direct execution over delegation
