Sr. Manager Legal

Join Delivery Hero as a Senior Manager, Legal in Maadi, Egypt. This full-time role leads our legal function, managing compliance, risk, and strategic initiatives across a dynamic food delivery and logistics business operating in a key growth market.

What This Role Involves

As Senior Manager Legal at Delivery Hero, you'll oversee legal operations and strategy, combining hands-on expertise with team leadership. You'll manage complex commercial agreements, navigate regulatory frameworks, and serve as principal legal advisor to senior management, enabling sustainable business growth while protecting the company's interests in Egypt's competitive delivery sector.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and execute legal strategy aligned with business goals and Egyptian regulatory requirements
• Lead contract negotiation, drafting, and execution across vendor, partner, and corporate agreements
• Oversee compliance programmes covering employment law, food safety regulations, consumer protection, and sector-specific legislation
• Manage dispute resolution, including third-party negotiation and external counsel coordination
• Build and supervise the legal team, ensuring capability development and professional excellence
• Support corporate governance, secretarial matters, and policy development
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on their impact to Delivery Hero's operations
• Partner with finance, operations, and compliance teams to embed legal and risk considerations into business decisions

What We're Looking For

• Qualified lawyer with 8+ years of experience, including at least 3 years in a senior legal management capacity
• Expert knowledge of Egyptian corporate law, employment law, and commercial regulations
• Proven success managing legal teams and delivering results in fast-moving environments
• Strong contract negotiation, drafting, and commercial judgment skills
• Experience in growth-oriented, high-velocity business contexts
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken
• Excellent stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and communication abilities
