(Senior) Software Engineer (M/F/D) – Tools & Automation

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity technology organization based in Germany that is seeking a talented (Senior) Software Engineer - Tools & Automation to join their technical infrastructure team. This role offers the opportunity to build and maintain critical internal tools that support advanced security research and product development. You'll work in a highly collaborative environment alongside experienced engineers, contributing to system stability, automation pipelines, and infrastructure excellence.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of internal tools, automation projects, and select product components that support the broader engineering organization
• Design and develop new tooling solutions from requirements gathering through deployment, collaborating with stakeholders to clarify specifications
• Administer infrastructure and services to ensure high availability and reliability across development and production environments
• Manage cloud-hosted components on Amazon AWS, maintaining security and performance standards
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and deployment automation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the development and infrastructure landscape

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of Python development experience with production-quality code
• Strong expertise in common Python frameworks such as Pika, Boto3, SQLAlchemy, Django, or FastAPI
• Demonstrated commitment to code quality practices including PEP8 standards and linter usage
• Experience with test-driven development using Pytest or similar frameworks
• Proven ability developing and consuming REST APIs and building microservices architectures
• Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, or equivalent platforms
• Practical experience administering Amazon AWS components and Kubernetes environments
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ message queuing is beneficial
• Fast learner with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
• Strong team collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in distributed teams
