About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential international university in Hamburg that requires a freelance mathematics instructor for their foundation program. This role focuses on preparing diverse student groups for bachelor-level studies through fundamental mathematical concepts.
Responsibilities
- Deliver foundation-level mathematics instruction covering functions, systems of equations, matrices, logic, and probability
- Teach 3 hours per week in English to international student groups
- Develop students' mathematical skills necessary for university-level research and scientific reasoning
- Design and administer formative assessments and final examinations
- Track student attendance and monitor progress
- Prepare students for admission examinations and bachelor programme requirements
- Collaborate with program management on curriculum delivery and student development
What We're Looking For
- Proven teaching experience in mathematics at foundation or introductory university level
- Demonstrated experience teaching international or multicultural student groups
- Strong proficiency in English with ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly in English
- Passion for supporting students from diverse backgrounds in their academic journey
- Ability to work independently as a freelance instructor while collaborating with academic teams
