Senior AI Engineer – Notebooks

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential observability platform client seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join their collaborative documentation and analysis product team. This is a remote position offering the chance to shape how AI-augmented workflows enable technical teams to move from uncertainty to actionable insights.

Our client is building the next generation of collaborative surfaces where users work alongside AI agents to perform ad-hoc analysis, document technical decisions, conduct incident investigations, and create reusable runbooks. You'll be instrumental in developing the AI-powered experiences that are becoming central to how customers use these tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of AI-powered product experiences for collaborative documentation surfaces and related tools
• Develop systems that combine deterministic product capabilities with LLM-powered experiences to deliver trustworthy and explainable customer outcomes
• Partner closely with Product Management to translate customer problems, adoption signals, and roadmap goals into concrete technical decisions and iterations
• Build experiences that enable platform capabilities to operate within third-party AI platforms, agents, and conversational environments
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship while helping establish AI engineering best practices across the team
• Own production systems: Build and operate reliable backend services that run in the critical path of customer deployments, including on-call responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of relevant engineering experience with production systems
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or similar systems programming languages
• Hands-on experience delivering production AI-powered products and customer-facing experiences using LLM technologies
• A strong product mindset that connects technical decisions to customer outcomes and business impact
• Experience building reliable systems that manage model non-determinism through evaluation frameworks, testing strategies, and operational excellence
• Comfort owning services end-to-end, including on-call rotation responsibilities
