Senior Marketing Manager – Government Solutions (f/m/x)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential European satellite analytics organization in their search for a Senior Marketing Manager focused on government and defence solutions. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build an entire marketing function from scratch within a rapidly scaling business unit.

You will be the first dedicated marketing professional serving the government sector vertical, creating positioning, content, public relations strategy, and event presence for solutions spanning resilience, situational awareness, and intelligence capabilities. This role reports into leadership and works closely with business development across Germany and EU institutions.

Location: Berlin, Germany (hybrid work model with approximately 20-30% travel across Europe).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end positioning and product marketing for government and defence audiences, including messaging frameworks, value propositions, and competitive differentiation across the European landscape
• Build and maintain the full collateral suite: capability briefs, presentation decks, one-pagers, and materials that support procurement processes and tender responses
• Develop and execute strategic communications plans including white papers, expert articles, use-case narratives, press releases, and milestone announcements
• Cultivate relationships with defence, security, and space trade media throughout Germany and Europe to drive earned coverage
• Manage executive visibility initiatives: social media presence, interview opportunities, and speaking engagements for government business leadership
• Own the European defence and government event calendar end-to-end, including major industry conferences, trade shows, and NATO-affiliated forums
• Plan and execute event participation: venue selection, budget management, booth presence, speaking slot coordination, business development team briefings, and structured lead follow-up
• Establish marketing infrastructure from the ground up: playbooks, processes, templates, and external partner networks as needed
• Track performance through share of voice, inbound interest metrics, and event outcomes; feed insights back into planning cycles

What We're Looking For

• 6-7+ years of marketing, sales, or related experience within the defence or security sector, with familiarity around defence technology, military terminology, and communication protocols for armed forces
• Generalist background spanning product marketing, content creation, public relations, and event management—not siloed in a single discipline
• Excellent writing and editing skills in both German (C1+ level) and English, able to craft everything from press releases to technical capability briefs
• Understanding of how government and defence organizations communicate and procure, including protocol awareness, sensitivity considerations, and long procurement cycles
• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin; comfortable with hybrid work and regular European travel
• Eligibility for security clearance, typically requiring EU or NATO member state citizenship
• Familiarity with Earth observation, space technology, or geospatial solutions is advantageous
• Additional European languages—especially French for EU and NATO stakeholder engagement—are a plus
• Public affairs or government relations exposure is beneficial
