We're seeking a Chief of Staff who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and operations, giving you end-to-end ownership of key projects that shape how the organization operates and scales.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

• Own strategic and operational projects from concept through to measurable results, taking full accountability for delivery
• Design and continuously improve core company processes that enable the organization to scale effectively
• Partner closely with the founder on cross-functional priorities, bringing teams together and driving clarity on what matters most
• Create decision-making materials and strategic analyses for the leadership team
• Support process optimization across various operational areas as needed
• Build pragmatic structures and scalable ways of working that evolve with the company's growth

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone who meets these core requirements:

• 5–8 years of experience in strategy and operations roles
• Fluency in both German and English
• Strong process thinking with the ability to bring clarity to complex situations quickly
• Proven track record independently driving projects in fast-growing environments
• Proficiency with Notion, project management tools, Google Workspace, and Slack
• Comfort with hands-on execution alongside strategic planning
• Location in or willingness to relocate to Cologne, with onsite presence at least twice weekly
• Genuine interest in the sports community and industry

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience in high-growth startups
• Background building people or organizational processes

Important note: This is a significantly hands-on role. You'll be executing and taking ownership across shifting priorities, not just strategizing. The exact focus areas will be refined collaboratively with the team.
