(Senior) Consultant (w/m/d) Evidenzbasierte Politikberatung im Bereich Hochschul- und Bildungspolitik

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential policy research and consulting organization operating across Europe. Our talent team is searching for a senior consultant to join their Education and Skills practice in Berlin. In this role, you will provide evidence-based advisory services to public institutions, focusing on higher education and education policy.

Your work will center on analysis, evaluation, and monitoring of policy instruments, as well as strategy development and implementation support. You will prepare reports and presentations tailored to various stakeholders, drawing on independent conceptual and empirical work including data analysis, surveys, interviews, and focus groups conducted collaboratively with colleagues.

Project management and leadership responsibilities include guiding project teams and maintaining client relationships. You will also contribute to business development by conceptualizing and preparing proposals for existing and prospective clients, and by networking with cooperation partners and relevant stakeholders in the education policy ecosystem.

What We're Looking For

• At least four years of relevant professional experience in policy advisory and/or evaluation work, including demonstrated project leadership
• Experience acquiring consulting and contract research projects for public sector organizations
• Completed university degree in a relevant field with solid empirical research methods knowledge
• Team orientation, strong communication skills, independence, and an analytical yet collaborative working style
• Willingness to travel occasionally, including some international trips
• Excellent German and English language skills; additional languages are advantageous
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis programs (R, Stata, Python, Atlas.TI, or similar) is a plus
