What This Role Involves

As a Personal Trainer at Equinox, you'll design and deliver customized workout programs tailored to each member's fitness goals, experience level, and physical capabilities. You'll combine strength training expertise, cardiovascular conditioning knowledge, and motivational coaching to help members achieve measurable results while maintaining proper form and injury prevention.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct initial fitness assessments and ongoing progress evaluations with new and existing members
• Develop personalized training plans based on individual goals, fitness levels, and medical considerations
• Lead one-on-one and small-group training sessions, demonstrating proper exercise technique and form
• Provide motivation, accountability, and expert guidance to help members stay committed to their fitness journey
• Stay current with fitness trends, nutrition principles, and recovery best practices
• Collaborate with other fitness professionals and club staff to create an exceptional member experience
• Maintain detailed training records and track member progress toward established goals
• Build and maintain a strong client base through excellent service and professional relationships

Skills & Qualifications

• Current personal training certification from an accredited organization (NASM, ACE, ISSA, YSDN, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of exercise physiology, anatomy, and biomechanics
• Proficiency in designing programs for diverse populations and fitness levels
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and educate members
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and fitness education
• CPR/AED certification
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
