Founding Product Designer

We are representing a confidential adtech client in Berlin that is experiencing exceptional growth. Our talent team is searching for a Founding Product Designer to join their core team and shape the visual and interaction design strategy from the ground up.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role where you will work directly with senior leadership to define product experiences across mobile-first platforms. You'll be joining an intense, ambitious environment with significant equity upside and the opportunity to accelerate your career faster than traditional product roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end UI design process from initial concept through to implementation, ensuring interfaces are visually compelling, intuitive, and user-centric
• Own the complete design workflow including discovery, iteration, validation, and delivery while balancing speed with quality
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to align design decisions with business goals and technical constraints
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and leverage analytics to inform and continuously refine design solutions
• Drive design critiques, facilitate stakeholder alignment sessions, and clearly communicate the rationale behind your design choices
• Establish and maintain design standards, patterns, and systems that scale across the product
• Contribute strategically beyond pure design execution, helping shape product direction and priorities

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience designing mobile-first products with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI and UX work
• Outstanding visual design skills with strong attention to detail, hierarchy, typography, and accessibility principles
• Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
• Data-driven approach to design, using research insights and metrics to guide decisions and measure impact
• Strategic thinking capability—able to contribute to product direction beyond design execution
• Ability to thrive in lean, fast-paced, iterative environments without sacrificing quality
• Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how technical constraints impact design
• Proactive, self-starting mindset with a drive to continuously push for better solutions and higher standards
• Bonus: Experience with motion design and gamified interface elements
