Forward Deployed Engineer (Ops)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential AI platform company in their search for a Forward Deployed Engineer focused on operations. This is a hybrid role based in Berlin, working directly with enterprise customers in the financial services sector to maximize the value they derive from advanced AI decisioning technology.

You'll serve as the technical bridge between customers and internal teams, investigating issues, guiding implementation best practices, and translating customer feedback into product improvements. This role combines hands-on technical problem-solving with relationship building across enterprise accounts.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep expertise in our client's AI platform and its applications for financial decisioning
• Support enterprise customers post-onboarding with technical problems, product inquiries, and optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate customer insights into actionable product enhancements
• Create reusable documentation, best practices guides, tools, and automations to scale customer success operations
• Build and maintain strong technical relationships with key users within customer organizations
• Navigate complex systems and application logs to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Lead technical conversations with diverse audiences including engineers, business analysts, and risk managers

What We're Looking For

• 1–2 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Forward Deployed Engineer, Customer Success Engineer, or Technical Consultant)
• Familiarity with AI concepts including prompt engineering, large language models, and AI agents
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and problem-solving
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and data formats such as JSON and XML
• Strong analytical skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach
• Excellent communication skills in English, able to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Customer-centric mindset with genuine curiosity about solving technical challenges
• Comfortable with hybrid work model: able to work from Berlin office at least three days per week
• Bonus: Domain expertise in financial services (banking, insurance, lending, payments)
• Bonus: Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours when customer needs require
