Lead Implementation & Delivery (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded industrial technology startup in Düsseldorf that is scaling its delivery operations. Our client has developed an AI-powered platform that serves enterprise manufacturing customers across Germany and Europe. They need an experienced implementation and delivery lead to own the entire post-sale journey and build the function from the ground up.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building processes from scratch, and wants real ownership in a fast-moving environment. You'll manage a team of seven people across application engineering and data delivery, working directly with enterprise accounts from handover through to stable adoption.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete post-sale delivery process from signed contract to successful customer adoption
• Run enterprise implementations hands-on during your first months to understand where the product and process need improvement
• Build the adoption framework for enterprise accounts and define what "first value" means for customers
• Maintain current visibility across all accounts, including check-ins, risk signals, and retention planning
• Handle operational and management-level escalations independently
• Own the sales-to-delivery handover process and maintain realistic capacity planning
• Develop lightweight, repeatable processes as delivery patterns emerge
• Lead and develop your team of two direct reports in application engineering, plus steering a five-person data delivery team
• Test product-market-fit hypotheses with customers and feed findings back to product and go-to-market teams
• Conduct regular customer site visits to manufacturing facilities

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 4–6 years in technical implementation, delivery, project lead, or technical operations roles at a B2B company serving manufacturing or industrial customers
• Track record as an early hire building implementation or delivery processes from scratch in a startup or scale-up environment
• Experience owning the interface between sales and technical delivery teams, including handover, capacity oversight, and independent escalation resolution
• Technical depth sufficient to become fluent quickly in discrete manufacturing, factory planning, or industrial automation
• Fluent written and spoken German and English (internal work in English, customer work in German)
• EU/EEA citizenship or existing work/residence permit for Germany (visa sponsorship not available)

• Get genuine satisfaction from being the person customers and colleagues can count on
