(Senior) Consultant* – Securities & Custody Operations

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial services organization seeking a Senior Consultant to transform securities and custody operations for leading institutions across the capital markets sector.

In this role, you will:

• Support transformation initiatives spanning securities, custody, and post-trade operations from requirements analysis through implementation
• Analyze existing operating models, processes, and controls to identify opportunities for simplification, optimization, and efficiency gains
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, operations, and technology teams to define requirements and translate them into practical solutions
• Apply your knowledge of securities processes—including trade lifecycle, settlement, asset servicing, and custody operations—to solve complex client challenges
• Drive project execution through workshops, analysis, documentation, stakeholder management, and implementation support

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Relevant consulting or financial services experience in securities, custody, post-trade, or capital markets operations
• Strong knowledge of the securities lifecycle and operational processes such as settlement, custody, asset servicing, and corporate actions
• Experience in business transformation, process optimization, operating model design, or change initiatives within financial services
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable solutions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a collaborative approach to working with business and technology teams
• German and English language proficiency required for this hybrid role based in Frankfurt or Munich

Preferred experience:

• Background with global custodians, investment banks, asset managers, market infrastructures, or securities services providers
• Knowledge of regulatory and industry developments in the securities and post-trade environment
• Experience with operating model design, process optimization, or large-scale transformation programs
• Familiarity with securities platforms, custody systems, or post-trade technologies
• Consulting experience implementing change within complex financial services organizations
