Consulting Manager (m/f/d) Data & AI Strategy

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential strategy and data consulting organization seeking a Consulting Manager Data & AI Strategy for their Berlin or Munich office. Our client operates at the intersection of executive advisory and advanced technology implementation, serving enterprise clients across multiple industries throughout Germany and internationally.

In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, leading complex AI transformation programs and driving measurable organizational change. You'll bridge strategy and execution, working with cross-functional teams to unlock business value through data and AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI Transformation Programs: Steer end-to-end execution of enterprise-level AI transformations, identifying internal champions, navigating corporate structures, managing blockers, and driving measurable user adoption and organizational change
• Strategy & AI Use Case Development: Partner with C-level stakeholders on high-stakes questions about AI business model transformation, data governance, model selection, data privacy trade-offs, and technical feasibility
• Drive Business Development: Take ownership of lead generation and pipeline conversion by engaging prospective clients, shaping proposals, and leading pre-sales and key-account expansion initiatives
• Thought Leadership: Represent the firm's AI transformation perspective externally through expert discussions, content creation, and hands-on perspectives on applied AI trends and adoption pathways
• Advance Methodologies: Evolve frameworks, tools, and transformation playbooks to keep offerings state-of-the-art, bringing strategic consulting and technology expertise to the practice
• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor hybrid project teams of consultants, data scientists, and engineers, fostering a fast-paced, results-oriented culture

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 5-8 years in top-tier management consulting, technology consulting, or strategic corporate roles with a proven track record leading data, analytics, or AI-driven transformation projects
• Transformation Expertise: Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional transformation programs, managing executive stakeholders, and embedding AI capabilities within organizations
• AI Fluency: Strong understanding of modern AI including GenAI, LLMs, agentic systems, and automated workflows. Hands-on ability to demo working AI concepts and discuss data privacy and technical constraints
• Technical Acumen: Knowledge of machine learning techniques, cloud architectures, and data management principles with excellent quantitative skills
• Communication Skills: Outstanding presentation and moderation abilities to translate complex technical topics for non-technical executives and bridge gaps to technical teams
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Physics, Mathematics, or comparable quantitative field
• Languages: Business-fluent German and English (written and spoken) required
• Work Authorization: Valid work permit for Germany required
