Senior Software Engineer (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential construction technology client seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Product Delivery team in Richen, Baden-Württemberg. In this role, you will be part of a highly collaborative product team working on critical systems that bridge digital product delivery with physical logistics operations.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Designing, building, testing, and operating software solutions for logistics and planning workflows
• Working in a cloud infrastructure environment managing complex software deployments at scale
• Bringing a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset to monitor, maintain, and improve software uptime including reliable updates, latency, and efficiency
• Acting as a bridge between digital systems and physical logistics, ensuring both are aligned and integrated
• Helping define, monitor, and evolve SLAs/SLOs as well as other important KPIs
• Writing software both independently and in pair programming sessions with team colleagues
• Ensuring functionality through solid testing approaches and deploying changes to live systems
• Operating and troubleshooting software in production environments

What We're Looking For

You are an experienced software engineer with a background in enterprise software, logistics systems, Site Reliability Engineering, or software system operations. You understand the commercial impact of system downtime and have worked in companies with strong operational cultures.

Required skills and experience:

• Practical experience in key areas of modern software development, including infrastructure, observability, testing, deployment pipelines with quality assurance, and scaling
• Experience operating and supporting large-scale software systems in cloud environments
• Proficiency with most of the following technologies: Kotlin/SpringBoot, Kubernetes, Linux, PostgreSQL
• Cloud operations experience with familiarity in monitoring and alerting practices for production systems
• Experience defining and working with SLAs/SLOs
• Background in logistics or manufacturing environments is highly valued
• Azure experience is a bonus

The position offers a hybrid/flexible work arrangement with 30 vacation days, unlimited contract, and opportunities to work abroad for up to 40 days per year.
