Forward Deployed Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI data services organization seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with enterprise clients across the USA. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, data operations, and client delivery—you'll own the quality of GenAI training datasets from requirements through final validation.

As a trusted technical partner, you'll be embedded with client teams to design annotation workflows, build validation pipelines, and ensure zero-defect data delivery that powers frontier AI models. This is a consultative engineering role for someone who thrives on translating ambiguous client needs into scalable, automated solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with enterprise clients to define requirements, success criteria, and annotation guidelines for GenAI model training data
• Design and deliver datasets that meet all defined accuracy, reliability, and performance benchmarks
• Build scalable validation and automation pipelines that reduce manual review effort, variance, and time to delivery
• Translate business and model development needs into clear technical workflows and validation logic
• Act as the final authority on data quality and delivery readiness across projects
• Contribute reusable quality frameworks and validators that can be adopted across multiple client engagements
• Provide proactive insights and innovative solutions that strengthen client trust and improve model outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience with GenAI, machine learning, or model evaluation datasets
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement data pipelines, validation systems, or workflow automation
• Previous ownership of final data quality in a delivery or production environment
• Consultative problem-solving skills—you ask sharp questions and guide stakeholders toward better decisions
• Confidence working directly with client engineering or ML teams as a technical peer
• Strong technical documentation practices that prioritize reproducibility, observability, and reliability
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable, production-ready workflows

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $150,000–$200,000 USD annually, inclusive of base salary and performance-based incentive. Actual compensation is determined based on experience and technical expertise.
