D365 WMS Senior Functional Consultant (Future Opportunity)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization seeking a D365 WMS Senior Functional Consultant for future opportunities across the United States. Our talent team works with clients who need deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management, particularly in warehouse management and trade logistics implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution implementations, from analyzing business requirements through configuration, testing, and deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather comprehensive requirements aligned to business objectives, understand current processes, and identify improvement opportunities
• Provide expert knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics capabilities and evaluate business processes against standard functionality
• Configure and customize D365 F&SCM to meet specific business requirements, focusing on WMS, procurement, inventory management, and product information management modules
• Develop functional design documents when modifications or customizations are required
• Plan and oversee Conference Room Pilots, Project Increments, and User Acceptance Testing in collaboration with project managers
• Conduct acceptance testing and train client resources on successful use and maintenance of the platform
• Provide structured support including troubleshooting, support case management, and SLA compliance
• Oversee and direct multiple trade and logistics projects simultaneously
• Mentor both senior and junior consultants in supply chain process design and implementation
• Contribute to knowledge bases, implementation methodologies, and thought leadership content

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
• 10+ implementations in Dynamics AX and D365 F&SCM
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Supply Chain and WMS modules of D365 F&SCM
• Proven success implementing D365 F&SCM Trade & Logistics modules including Procurement and Sourcing, Sales and Marketing, Inventory Management, and Product Information Management
• Demonstrated expertise implementing WMS module solutions
• Experience with Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Quote to Order, Configure and Release Products, Pick to Ship, and returns processes
• Deep knowledge of pricing, vendor and customer rebates, and workflow scenarios
• Experience leading client SME teams and mentoring consulting staff
• Experience across Distribution, Manufacturing, and Financial Services industries
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps and writing/reviewing Functional Design Documents
• Understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated with ability to take ownership of tasks and activities
• Ability to travel up to 50%

Preferred Experience:

• 3+ years working primarily in supply chain operations
• Experience with Data Management Framework for D365 migrations
• Track record working in constantly changing environments with limited direction
• Experience collaborating with multicultural and multilingual teams across time zones
• Ability to execute effectively across broad organizational structures
