Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join their forecasting team in London. In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and improve plugin-based forecasting models end to end, including feature engineering, testing, and iterating on performance in live customer environments
- Take forecasting problems from business need to working model deployment, with full ownership over decisions throughout the development lifecycle
- Work directly across multiple customer environments, determining what generalizes and what requires customer-specific customization
- Leverage AI and agentic tools as a core part of your development process, pushing the boundaries of what these tools can accomplish
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy in a distributed team environment without fixed playbooks
- Communicate directly with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
What We're Looking For
Our client is seeking candidates who bring:
- Applied or theoretical understanding of modern forecasting and modelling methods
- A proven track record of independently owning ML or modelling work end to end, from concept through production deployment
- Genuine enthusiasm for agentic, AI-assisted engineering, with comfort being evaluated on problem-solving reasoning and AI tool direction, not just manual coding
- Comfort working with ambiguity and evolving processes
- Confidence making independent decisions and shipping solutions in weeks rather than months
- Strong communication skills for working with customers and cross-functional stakeholders
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer work (approximately one to two trips annually)
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Valid work authorization for EMEA or Eastern US locations
- Prior experience in retail or supply chain is welcome but not required
