About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential biopharmaceutical organization seeking a Hepatology Account Manager based in Portland, Oregon. This is a remote, full-time position requiring up to 50% travel within your assigned territory.
In this role, you will own critical B2B relationships with the largest and most complex healthcare delivery networks—including integrated delivery networks (IDNs), academic medical centers, state health departments, and federally qualified health centers. You'll serve as the primary liaison to C-suite and director-level stakeholders, delivering customized value propositions and driving adoption of specialty pharmaceutical products within the hepatology disease state.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with large organized customers, including IDNs, academic centers, and key decision-makers such as Chief Medical Officers, Pharmacy Directors, and P&T Committee members
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by developing, implementing, and executing integrated business plans for key accounts
- Identify and engage key influencers within complex healthcare systems, ensuring optimal coverage and frequency with top-tier customers
- Deliver comprehensive clinical presentations to physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to drive appropriate product utilization
- Understand the organizational structure, physician hierarchy, pharmacy operations, and clinical nursing staff within each assigned account
- Develop deep product and competitor knowledge while staying informed about local and regional market trends
- Analyze territory data and trends to identify strategic opportunities and craft robust product launch plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and sales peers to share best practices and deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Manage territory budget effectively to support sales and marketing initiatives
- Provide strategic feedback on marketing programs and participate in ongoing training and development
- Maintain strict adherence to all regulatory, legal, and compliance standards
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 3–5 years of biotech/pharmaceutical sales experience (level determined by experience)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50% with occasional overnight stays
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Preferred:
- Proven success in product launch sales environments
- Experience in hepatology or related therapeutic areas
- Documented track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Expertise in account-based selling and managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes
- Deep understanding of health systems business models, organizational structures, formulary processes, and P&T committees
- Experience engaging C-suite and director-level stakeholders within large healthcare delivery networks
- Lateral leadership experience in highly matrixed organizations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable business strategies
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and business acumen
- Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, or Tagalog is a plus
