Customer Service – Self Storage Manager

Public Storage is hiring a full-time Customer Service - Self Storage Manager at our Howell Township, NJ location. In this customer-focused role, you'll oversee daily operations at our self-storage facility while delivering outstanding service to our growing community of renters.

Position Summary

As a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager, you'll be the backbone of our Howell Township storage facility. You'll balance customer interaction, facility management, and operational excellence to create a professional environment where renters feel secure and valued. This full-time position offers the opportunity to build meaningful customer relationships while maintaining a well-run, profitable storage business.

Your Responsibilities

• Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and provide information about available storage units and rental terms
• Lease storage units, process rental agreements, and collect payments using facility systems
• Conduct regular facility inspections, monitor security systems, and report maintenance needs promptly
• Resolve customer complaints and address concerns with professionalism and attention to detail
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, including office areas and common spaces
• Handle administrative tasks including records management, scheduling, and basic bookkeeping
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and company safety standards
• Support marketing efforts and contribute to customer retention through quality service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Proven customer service experience in a sales or hospitality environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented work ethic
• Problem-solving ability and comfort working independently
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred
