Join Wabtec as an Operator I at our Wytheville, VA facility, where you'll play a vital role in our manufacturing and operations team. This is a full-time position supporting the production of essential rail and transit equipment.

Role Overview

As an Operator I, you'll be responsible for monitoring and operating production equipment, ensuring quality standards are met and safety protocols are followed. You'll work within a dedicated team environment at Wabtec's Wytheville location, contributing to the manufacture of critical components for the rail and transit industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate manufacturing equipment throughout your assigned shift
• Perform routine maintenance checks and adjustments to machinery
• Maintain detailed production logs and documentation
• Conduct quality inspections on products according to established standards
• Follow all safety procedures and report hazards immediately
• Coordinate with team members to meet production schedules and targets
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and notify supervisors of problems
