Production Press Operator

Wabtec is hiring a Production Press Operator in Wytheville, VA for a full-time position where you'll operate precision press equipment and contribute to manufacturing excellence on the production floor.

About the Role

This full-time position places you at the heart of our Wytheville manufacturing operation, where you'll run industrial press machinery with skill and precision. You'll be responsible for keeping production moving efficiently while upholding our strict quality and safety standards, working collaboratively with your team to meet daily production targets.

What You'll Do

• Operate production press equipment according to technical specifications and production schedules
• Set up and adjust machinery, dies, and tooling; verify calibration and readiness before production runs begin
• Monitor output quality and consistency throughout your shift, flagging any deviations
• Perform routine maintenance, inspect equipment for wear, and alert supervisors to mechanical issues
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and production specifications accurately
• Inspect finished components, document production data, and maintain a safe, organized work area

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience operating industrial press equipment or similar production machinery
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and production documentation
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting capability
• Meticulous attention to detail and genuine commitment to quality standards
• Reliable attendance record and professional, safety-first mindset
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
