What This Role Involves

As an Operations Inspector with SGS, you'll conduct systematic inspections and field assessments that verify compliance with established standards and client requirements. Working across Callao's port and industrial facilities, you'll document findings, gather evidence, and deliver reliable results that clients depend on for critical business decisions. This is hands-on work—you'll spend significant time in the field, inspecting equipment, materials, processes, and installations to confirm they meet specifications.

Core Duties

• Perform visual and technical inspections of equipment, materials, and operational systems at client sites
• Collect samples, measurements, and photographic documentation as required by inspection protocols
• Complete detailed inspection reports and checklists, recording observations accurately and thoroughly
• Verify compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and client contractual specifications
• Communicate findings clearly to supervisors, clients, and internal teams
• Maintain inspection equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics for field visits and inspections

Requirements

• Secondary or technical education; relevant certification in inspection, quality assurance, or a related field is valued
• Proven experience in inspection, field testing, or quality control work
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures precisely
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
• Comfort working in varied field environments and physical ability to access inspection sites
• Reliability and professional demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues
