Commissioning Planning Engineer

IOTA GROUP is hiring a Commissioning Planning Engineer for a full-time position based in Nampula Province, Mozambique. This is an opportunity to lead the planning and coordination of complex commissioning activities that bring industrial projects to operational readiness.

About This Position

As a Commissioning Planning Engineer with IOTA GROUP, you will oversee the planning and coordination of commissioning phases for industrial and operational projects. Your work ensures that all equipment, systems, and processes are properly tested, validated, and brought to full operational status on schedule and within budget. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, quality assurance, operations personnel, and external stakeholders to execute comprehensive commissioning strategies that meet project objectives and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with overall project milestones and deadlines
• Coordinate commissioning teams across engineering, operations, quality assurance, and related disciplines
• Develop detailed commissioning procedures, checklists, test protocols, and documentation
• Monitor commissioning progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Manage commissioning budgets, resources, and personnel allocation
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and compliance checks throughout all commissioning phases
• Maintain accurate commissioning records, reports, and project documentation
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and project management regarding commissioning status and timeline updates

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in commissioning planning, project coordination, or related roles
• Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, industry standards, and best practices
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with project management software and tools
• Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Technical background in engineering, operations, or a related field
• Project management certification or commissioning-focused qualifications are advantageous
